Weekend in New York!

This posting comes to you live from New York on Saturday night! Ben and I are with our son and his wife this weekend for the Notre Dame/Army game at Yankee Stadium--the first football game on the new field. Go, Irish!

Outside our window, the Norwegian Gem just sailed from the Port of New York for the Bahamas and Florida, the only reminder of where our travels usually take us. On the other hand, our weekend in New York exemplfies what our cruise clients can do prior to a cruise from this amazing international city. Visit a museum, catch a play, eat a delicious meal in Little Italy, and see some of the numerous landmarks and parks. And with all the walkiing you‘ll do, you‘ll be ready for that restful cruise!

A big hug to Jeff and Erin for paving the way for this fantatastic getaway weekend!

I will resume posts on the Norwegian Epic soon. In the meantime I want to remind you about the new Alaska sailings of the Oceania Regatta. This first-time offering by Oceania adds several diverse ports to the standard itinerary, like Kodiac (for bear-watching!), Wrangell, Astoria, and even Anchorage because of the smaller ship size. Oceania has sweetened the deal with an additional $1000 bonus savings and $1000 onboard credit. Offer expires December 31.

Ben and I look foward to celebrating Thanksgiving with Jeff and Erin and with our daughter Jamie and her husband Chris. We are so grateful for them, and we're thankful for YOU, our clients and readers, as well, and wish you a wonderful holiday weekend!
