- Ben and I grew up in Mississippi, but we've lived in Texas for over 20 years now. Ben retired from the US Air Force with 22 years of active duty and subsequently worked at Southwest Research Institute for 12 years. My journalism and public relations career included various positions in the field including communications director at the Institute of Texan Cultures. After serving as independent contractors for Cruises Inc. 14 years and generating over a million dollars in sales annually, we bought our own CruiseOne franchise, another division of World Travel Holdings. Quoted often in industry trade publications, we reached top producer status for Princess, Norwegian, AMA Waterways,Regent Seven Seas, and Carnival cruise lines over the years and were twice named Cruises Inc Agents of the Year.
